PVHS Outstanding Athlete of the Year 2013 Short-Term Running Goals: Get back into shape
Have good indoor/outdoor seasons
Never run the 2 mile ever again. Long-Term Running Goals: Run forever. Personal: My mother forced me to start running as a freshman in high school.. and as much as I hate to admit it, I actually ended up liking it. Graduated from Pine View High School in 2013 and, after a yearlong hiatus, I am now running again, this time for USU, where I'm working on a composite Elementary Ed/Deaf Ed major. |

| | AM: Yup. PM: Green Pole. With a few laps around at the school to get the extra mile in. It felt okay. No complaints. Just kinda felt long. | Add Comment |
| | AM: Same old stuff. PM: Workout.. 10x400! DI warmup, Harts cool down. So. Today was the first day I've used my inhaler before a workout. And I was kinda nervous that it might not work. I was supposed to be hitting around 1:25 for each 400. And for the first 6, I hit right about there or lower. Then it got a little harder to breathe and I think I let it freak me out. I kinda lost it there for 2 or 3 laps, hitting as slow as a 1:28. But I really tried to keep positive and on the last one, I really tried to push it and I hit a 1:21. But really, it wasn't so bad. My breathing was relatively controlled and I stuck in there with Stoner and Frida for the first half. And I actually finished the workout, which is always a plus. To tell you the truth, I'm way excited for the meet this weekend (mainly because I'm not running the 3200.. but don't tell Coach). | Comments(2) |

Definitely NOT my best race. It wasn't really my breathing, or my calves.. I just felt like I couldn't go. I tried. I felt like I was pushing myself.. but I just wasn't moving. I also ran the 800 in the medley.. ran the same time as last week, a 2:33. We took third though, so that was good.. I felt like I was going to pass out after though. It was SO hot. On the upside, I got a nice tan. | Add Comment |
