PVHS Outstanding Athlete of the Year 2013 Short-Term Running Goals: Get back into shape

Never run the 2 mile ever again. Long-Term Running Goals: Run forever. Personal: My mother forced me to start running as a freshman in high school.. and as much as I hate to admit it, I actually ended up liking it. Graduated from Pine View High School in 2013 and, after a yearlong hiatus, I am now running again, this time for USU, where I'm working on a composite Elementary Ed/Deaf Ed major. |

| | Hell Holt. First day back!! Easy run with Roberts, Stoner, Kaylee and Nicole. Felt really good, even though certain people (Stoner and Kaylee) like to push the pace and run with the guys on the first day back! | Comments(1) |
| | Turtle Creek. Another easy run.. and the hill wasn't even bad. It's way nice to be back. And kids camp after! But I didn't really run a lot with them, cause I was too busy writing down names and all that fun stuff. The screaming game was kinda hilarious though. | Add Comment |
| | Maverik. We ran with all the girls today! Megan, Kelsi, Aubrey, Kaelie, Kaylee, Stoner and I. It was way fun and felt super good. | Comments(1) |
| | Grass run. The guys found a soccer ball and kept playing with it and it slowed them way down so we were right up on them the entire time. And none of them can count laps, even when they run on the rocks. The girls, however, knew exactly what lap we were on the entire time. No lie. | Comments(2) |
| | In'n'out. Me and Stoner ran with Liz Lunt today. It was a lovely end to the week, and on my way home I found one of those SkyBall things that bounces like 75 ft in the air.. if I ever get to come to practice again, I'll bring it. :P | Add Comment |

Ran with my mom today cause *sigh* I started working at the golf course. And it sucks. Or more accurately, I suck. My hands are covered in blisters, there is an 11 inch scar thing running down my leg, and a large patch of fairway missing from hole #17. The run was good though! We did it in the evening, cause my mom decided 5:10 in the morning would be an excellent time to bail on me. But it was nice and cool. My mom couldn't quite keep up with me though.. Ah well. She'll improve with time, I'm sure. | Add Comment |
| | I know, we aren't supposed to run 5 yet. I blame my father. My mom and I started the run at my cousins house in Enoch and my dad was supposed to come pick us up on his way home. Well.. he forgot something at their house and had to go back and get it.. meanwhile, my mother and I made it all the way to Cedar City. Well.. actually, I made it all the way to Cedar City, then turned around and ran back to find my mom. She was a half mile behind me, and somehow I managed to get to her right as my dad did. So we all hopped in the car and drove away. But I guess the extra mileage can help make up for not running yesterday (sorry, Coach, it was my brother's 8th birthday! That's a good excuse, right?) | Comments(1) |
| | So I know it looks very unimpressive to have a week and a half blank on here, but please rest assured that I did in fact run. I don't exactly remember last weeks runs, so I kinda just skipped writing about them. And while I didn't exactly go running this week, I was playing like 2 and a quarter soccer games a day, which completely and totally kicked my trash. By Wednesday, I could barely even move. So I promise, I ran. And today, I ran with Mia! We ran this lovely loop out in the Fields that I probably couldn't replicate if I tried. I just followed Mia. But we talked the whole time, and I forgot I was even running. It felt super good. Unfortunately, Saturdays are looking like the only time I'll ever be able to run with the team, and even then maybe not cause on some days they'll have to wait til 8:30. Mis padres won't let me take more time off work for anything such as soccer conditioning, xc practice, or girls camp. Say goodbye to my social life. (But don't be alarmed, because I will for surely be at XC camp.) | Comments(3) |
| | Ran with Mia.. except she took a billion years to get to my house and I'd fallen asleep on the floor by the time she showed up. And it was quite dark outside. But I'm sure you've all heard the creepy stalker jogger man story, so I'm not going to go over that, cause everyone just asks me why we talked to him and I have to explain all over again that it wasn't our fault, and what were we supposed to do?! Anywho, I talked to my boss about maybe starting work at 5, mowing a side of greens, and then coming to practice at 7:30, which is about when we start running anyway. I think either the entire world hates me, or it's just not meant to be that I make it to practice, cause he said that they have water running that early and it probably wouldn't work out except maybe once or twice a week. Which, I mean, is great, I'll take what I can get. But I'd really like to get out there everyday. And making it to kids camp would be wonderful as well. But I swear, my mom and I have discussed every single possibility and none of them work out. But dearest Mia said she would run with me twice a week in the evening, if that's all right with Coach, because it is ten times easier to get out running when there's someone who will run with me (my mom doesn't count, cause she can't keep up, and usually doesn't want to run anyway). | Comments(4) |
